New Delhi: Star shuttler Lakshya Sen continued his recent run of good form on the BWF World Tour with a convincing victory over compatriot Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian to reach the quarterfinals of the Hylo Open 2025.

The 24-year-old Indian star blew away Sankar in straight games, 21-14, 21-11, in just 37 minutes at the Saarlandhalle Arena in Saarbrucken, Germany, to seal the last-8 berth.

The commanding win comes on the back of a stunning victory over defending champion and World No. 7 Christo Popov in the second round and shows good signs for the Indian, who will make his first Super 500 quarterfinal appearance in over six months. The positive result also strengthens Sen’s bid to return to the top 15 in the BWF rankings.
