Bahrain: India continued their impressive show at the Youth Asian Games, clinching four golds, two silvers and one bronze in boxing, along with three gold and two silver medals in beach wrestling here on Thursday.
India’s medal tally has swelled to 47 medals, including 13 golds, 17 silvers and 17 bronze. The boxers delivered a historic performance, finishing with the highest medal tally by any discipline in the Indian contingent as Khushi Chand (46kg), Ahaana Sharma (50kg), Chandrika Bhoreshi Pujari (54kg), and Anshika (+80kg) secured gold medals.
Khushi defeated China’s Luo Jinxiu 4:1, displaying exceptional precision and control, while Ahaana followed with a first-round Referee Stopped Contest (RSC) win against Ma Jong Hyang of Korea.
Chandrika then secured gold with a commanding 5:0
