In time for the holiday shopping season, Toys 'R' Us is about to reopen in the Des Moines metro.
The company announced Thursday, Oct. 30, that it will be opening its new Jordan Creek Town Center store on Saturday.
In a news release, Toys 'R' Us said a ribbon cutting for the store, next to the mall's food court, is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Saturday. The first 50 customers will receive "swag bags," according to the news release. The first 25 customers also will receive plush animals.
In addition, the new store will have an "arcade experience" and gashapon toy-dispensing machines popular in Japan, the release said.
