SECURITY ALARM ALERTS WOMAN TO MAN IN HER HOUSE

Brandon Police Service arrested a man on Wednesday after he allegedly broke into a woman’s home and caused damage.

A woman was alerted that her security alarm was sounding at her residence at around 6 p.m.

When she looked at her security footage, she saw that a man, who has an order not to contact the woman, was inside her residence, police said in a news release.

Police went to the residence, where they found and arrested a 63-year-old man.

He was charged with breaking and entering, committing mischief and three counts of breaching his release order.

The man was held in BPS detention cells until his scheduled court appearance on Wednesday.
