LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — The Clark County Fire Department responded to an apartment fire near Pecos Road and Cheyenne Avenue Thursday morning.

The fire happened at 3789 Carlyle Drive just after 7 a.m. CCFD officials say that when firefighters arrived, they saw heavy smoke coming from a two-story unit. The fire was knocked down by 7:14 a.m.

Firefighters did not find anyone inside the apartment, but one dog was found alive and taken out of the structure. No injuries were reported.

The extent of the damage from the fire has not been estimated, and the cause remains unknown.

North Las Vegas Fire also responded to the scene. NV Energy was also notified to secure utilities.
