SARASOTA, Fla. ( WWSB ) - Twenty-four sand sculptors from around the world will compete at the 15th annual Siesta Key Crystal Classic Sand Sculpting Festival Nov. 14-17 on Siesta Beach.
The four-day event features artists transforming Siesta Key’s white sand into large-scale sculptures. Competition includes eight solo sculptures, eight team sculptures, and a group carve.
Artists work eight hours per day Thursday through Saturday, with four final hours on Sunday. The awards ceremony takes place on Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Music Stage.
Spectators can watch the creative process throughout the weekend and vote for the People’s Choice Award. Each ticket holder receives a token upon entry to cast their vote. Voting ends Monday at 4:30 p.m.
