Former Great British Baking Show star Helena Garcia has a bear-y cute twist on Halloween cookies.

“These are classic chocolate chip cookies that have been given a macabre makeover,” the baker, who competed on the beloved competition series in 2019, says about the “demon-like teddy bears” included in her cookbook The Little Gothic Bakeshop . “Chocolate chip cookies are not ones that are often decorated, but I think these look the part.”

Garcia encourages decorators to play around with the ferocious-looking design: “Use a sharp knife to carve almonds into fangs and edible-ink pens for more drama,” she says.
