HASTINGS, Neb. (KSNB) - The Good Samaritan Society in Hastings hosted a trick-or-treat event where residents decorated their golf carts and created their own version of trunk-or-treat for children from Ark Daycare.

This event has been going on for 14 out of the last 15 years; 2020’s event was cancelled due to COVID-19.

Residents decorated their golf carts with Halloween decorations for the event. The celebration served as more than just trunk-or-treating, focusing on intergenerational connections within the community.

“We connect to this community very well. We love doing things for our children; we are a very closed-knit community,” said residents known as the Spice Girls. “We like doing things for our neighbors. We just have a lot of fun out here with different activities.”
