MARTINSBURG — Family Renewal Initiative (FRI) is working together with Both Hands to put together a unique kind of fundraiser. By helping a local widow, FRI is raising money to help families stay together.

FRI started four years ago with the goal of helping families in the middle of a crisis. When someone experiences hardship, it’s usually close relatives or friends that come together to support them. However, there are some parents that don’t have a support system. FRI partners with local churches to support these families and prevent children from entering the foster care system.
