TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — State Farm announced Wednesday that it is rolling out lower auto rates for Florida drivers.
After a rate cut was filed this week, State Farm said customers' premiums will drop by an average of 10%.
This is the second rate decrease the company has implemented this year.
The insurance company said its auto rates have dropped by more than 20% on average since October 2024.
"Our overall reductions since Oct. 2024 amount to more than $1 billion in lower annual premiums for private passenger cars, averaging more than $400 in savings per vehicle," State Farm said.
The Florida Office of Insurance Regulation announced in July that the state’s top five major insurers have reduced rates by an average of 6.5% this year.
