The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced the final date sheet for the 2026 Class 10 and Class 12 board examinations, set to begin on February 17, 2026. This early release, approximately 110 days before the exams, aims to provide students ample time for preparation and planning.
Class 10 exams will run from February 17 to February 28, while Class 12 exams will take place from February 17 to March 3. This year marks a significant change as Class 10 students will have two board examinations in an academic year, in line with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020.
The board has ensured that the timetable includes sufficient gaps between major subjects to help reduce student stress. This careful planning also aligns with national entrance exams, allowing Class 12 students to manage both board and competitive tests without conflicts.
The final date sheet follows a tentative schedule released on September 24, 2025, which was based on registration data from Class 9 and 11 students. CBSE officials noted that the timely submission of the List of Candidates (LOC) by schools facilitated this early announcement.
Students can download the complete date sheet from the official CBSE website under the “Examinations” tab. This proactive approach by CBSE is expected to assist students, parents, and educators in their academic planning, reinforcing the board's commitment to transparency and student welfare.
The detailed schedule for Class 10 and Class 12 exams includes various subjects, ensuring that no student faces overlapping exam dates. This initiative is part of CBSE's ongoing efforts to enhance the examination process and support student success.
