BUFFALO, N.Y. (WIVB) — The parents of a 4-year-old have been arrested after the child was found walking in traffic on I-90 in Silver Creek earlier this week, according to New York State Police.
Child Protective Services (CPS) were making an unannounced visit to the home of 31-year-old Robert Lyman and 30-year-old Mikayla Miller when it was discovered the child was not in the residence. Around the same time, state troopers responded to I-90 westbound after the 4-year-old was seen walking on the highway. The driver that discovered the child called 911 and kept the child out of the road.
Lyman and Miller were both arrested Thursday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child. They are expected to return to court next month.
