Ganderbal, Oct 30: Jammu and Kashmir Police in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district have arrested two fugitives who had been evading arrest for more than 13 years, bringing closure to two long-pending criminal cases.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Mudasir Ahmad War, son of Nazir Ahmad War, resident of Batpora Sopore, and Mushtaq Ahmad Wani, son of Ali Mohammad Wani, resident of Lolpora Kunzar Tangmarg. They were wanted in connection with FIR No. 34/2013 under Sections 392, 511, 34 RPC and FIR No. 17/2013 under Sections 366, 109 RPC.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal said a special police team led by SHO Safapora Gulzar Hussain tracked the duo to Bengaluru and Maharashtra, where they were apprehended after sustained efforts.
