The Telangana High Court has stayed proceedings initiated by the State Human Rights Commission against Sultan-ul-Uloom Educational Society, citing concerns over jurisdiction and statutory overreach.

Hyderabad: Chief Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh and Justice G.M. Mohiuddin of the Telangana High Court on Thursday stayed the proceedings pending before the Telangana State Human Rights Commission ( TGHRC ) against Sultan-ul-Uloom Educational Society, observing that the issues raised in the writ petition warrant examination on the question of jurisdiction and statutory overreach.

The petition, filed by Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy, challenged the authority of the Human Rights Commission to entertain complaints relating to academic and administrative matter
