Zachary Quinto's surprise comeback as Spock in Brilliant Minds is a reminder that there's another Vulcan he can play on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds . Quinto played Spock in three Star Trek movies produced by J.J. Abrams, while Ethan Peck plays Lieutenant Spock in Star Trek: Strange New Worlds.

Although Zachary Quinto hasn't played Spock since 2016's Star Trek Beyond, he played his series lead on Brilliant Minds , Dr. Oliver Wolf, donning Spock ears to cosplay as Spock on Halloween. The bearded Dr. Wolf wore a store-bought version of the Starfleet uniform Spock donned in Star Trek (2009) and Star Trek Into Darkness in 2013.
