MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — The Monongalia County Health Department (MCHD) is asking residents to take just three minutes to share their thoughts on local health needs through its Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) survey, available online through Nov. 9.
The anonymous survey — open to residents of Monongalia, Preston, and Marion counties — aims to help health officials identify priorities and allocate resources effectively.
“The CHNA is essentially a document that uses data collected to determine the health needs of the community, which is extremely important to us,” said Dr. Brian Huggins, MCHD health officer and medical director. “It helps inform our Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP), and the CHIP is how we are going to allocate resources to solve problems we’ve identified throug
