Snow is set to hit the UK in the coming days as cooler weather hits.

The first white stuff of the season could fall for six days in a row in some places, forecasters have warned.

The GFS weather model first shows snow falling in northern Scotland over high ground on the evening of November 9.

Wintry conditions then looks set to spread across the country with the white stuff potentially falling in cities in southern England including London and Southampton.

And in the early hours of November 10, maps show snow falling at a rate of around 5cm per hour across the Cairngorms National Park in Scotland.
