It’s been so long, and the baseball industry has changed so much, that already the memories of the Blue Jays ’ championships in 1992 and 1993 are a little hazy.
So comparing the feelings of those days with this remarkably surprising championship charge by the 2025 Jays is both a little tricky and potentially misleading. We do know that the ‘92 and ‘93 Jays were a star-studded powerhouse built with the biggest payroll in baseball at that time, around $50 million.
