A man has died days after being hurt in an apartment fire in Colebrook, New Hampshire, officials said Thursday.

The fire on Parsons Street in the northern New Hampshire town was reported about 2 p.m. Sunday, state and local fire officials said, and firefighters found a man inside as they battled the blaze.

He was rushed to a local hospital, then taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, but died on Wednesday, officials said. They identified him as Warren L. Haynes, a 59-year-old man who lived in the building.

Haynes' cause and manner of death had yet to be determined as of Thursday, and what started the fire remained under investigation by police and fire officials.
