Michael Jackson's family want his biopic to premiere at London's O2 Arena - where he planned to play 50 sold-out shows in 2009.

The pop icon passed away in June 2009, just 18 days before he was due on stage for the first performance of his This Is It residency - but his family now want his upcoming biopic Michael to premiere at the world-famous music venue.

A source told The Sun newspaper: "It was Michael’s dream to do that ­residency at the O2 and now his family are hoping that will partly be fulfilled with the film premiering at the venue."

The movie is set to premiere in April 2026, but a venue for the launch has yet to be confirmed.

Meanwhile, Paris Jackson, Michael's daughter, previously insisted that she "has 0 percent involvement" with the upcoming biopic.
