CLEVELAND, Ohio — Prominent Cleveland businessman Bobby George, who is expected to plead guilty to an attempted strangulation charge, said Thursday that the case won’t affect him or his businesses “at all.”
George’s attorney, Kevin Spellacy, and prosecutors previously said George, 44, of Lakewood, intends to plead guilty to the fifth-degree felony.
“This case doesn’t affect me or my business at all,” George said Thursday after a hearing in Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Court.
George entered a not-guilty plea at the hearing before Cuyahoga County Common Pleas Judge Sherrie Miday. Miday set the case for a Nov. 10 pretrial hearing before Judge Joy Kennedy.
She also continued his bond at $200,000 and ordered him to have no contact with a 25-year-old woman he’s accused of attacking.
