Steven and Wendy Zimmerman of Akron are thrilled to announce the engagement of their daughter, Kelly Kraus, to David Silverstein, son of Scott and Shari Silverstein of Nanuet, N.Y.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Lewis and Roslyn Zimmerman of Akron, as well as Sanford and Marcia Halpert and Charles and Jocelyn Kraus, all of Beachwood. She graduated from The University of Akron and is a senior key account manager at Crocs, Inc. The groom is the grandson of the late Albert and Elaine Dobrutsky of Windsor, Conn., and Jule and Gloria Silverstein of New City, N.Y. He graduated from Five Towns College and is an audio engineer.

David and Kelly met in December 2023 in their hometown of Brooklyn, N.Y., and will be married Sept. 6, 2026, at Mapleside Farms.
