JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — As roadside crashes continue to claim lives across the country, AAA is urging drivers to slow down and move over for anyone working on the highway. Whether traveling through downtown Jacksonville, along I-95, or on a rural state road, the Move Over Law applies to everyone.

Since Florida passed its Move Over Law requiring drivers to merge into another lane when someone is working on the shoulder, AAA says there has been some improvement in how drivers respond. However, new data reveals that many motorists still fail to slow down despite flashing lights or cones marking a roadside work zone.
