JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville city leaders showed off one of the biggest projects in the works for the River City Wednesday.
A Holon autonomous shuttle, the future for the ultimate urban circulator through downtown, was on display at city hall.
Members of the public got a long look at the Holon, which will eventually replace the NAVI with quite a bit more space inside, room for up to 15, and the ability to ramp up to the Skyway.
However, the project does have its critics who wonder if enough people will sit on these seats to make the investment worth it.
"I've stepped on it before, but I have not taken a ride on it," said Jacksonville Mayor Donna Deegan during the news conference.
