MAINE, USA — Maine residents who need health or dental insurance can begin signing up for 2026 coverage through CoverME.gov starting Saturday, Nov. 1, the Maine Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) announced Thursday in a press release.
The state-run marketplace’s fifth annual open enrollment period runs through Jan. 15, 2026.
Officials are encouraging residents without access to coverage through an employer, Medicare, or MaineCare to visit CoverME.gov to compare private plans, update their information, and learn whether they qualify for financial assistance.
"Access to comprehensive health coverage is essential to the health and financial stability of Maine families,” DHHS Commissioner Sara Gagné-Holmes said in a statement. "Now is the time to visit CoverME.gov to compare
