WEST CHESTER TOWNSHIP, Ohio (WXIX) — West Chester Township trustees voted to spend $18.3 million to purchase 75 acres of land off Interstate 75 for development into a multi-use development.

The West Chester Board of Trustees unanimously approved the land purchase during a trustee meeting Thursday morning.

The township plans to develop the area into the Mill Creek District, which will include housing, office space, research and development facilities and entertainment venues.

Trustee Ann Becker said the project represents a significant opportunity for the community.

“The Millcreek District is a once in a lifetime opportunity to plan for growth that balances innovation with community character,” Becker said.
