The Pittsburgh Steelers and Mike Tomlin need a wide receiver before the trade deadline. There seems to be no doubt about that. After George Pickens’ departure, Calvin Austin III and Roman Wilson have failed in their responsibility to fill the No. 2 wide receiver spot.

This has caused DK Metcalf to constantly face double coverage, and Aaron Rodgers has had to rely on his four tight ends to try to give a boost to the offense. However, no one has stepped up as the WR2.

Now, in a final attempt to remain a Super Bowl contender, general manager Omar Khan could be preparing a surprising trade. The interesting thing is that, even though the defense is the Steelers’ biggest problem, the focus would be entirely on the other side of the ball.
