ALEXANDRIA, VA — Flashing lights, candy buckets, and capes galore lit up the Alexandria Police Department’s headquarters last night as APD and its public safety partner s hosted the annual Public Safety Trunk-or-Treat .
From princesses and superheroes to tiny dinosaurs and a family of Avengers, the creativity was off the charts. Kids got to explore real-life public safety vehicles — including APD’s BearCat , a police motorcycle, and a shiny red fire truck — while collecting candy from decorated trunks and high-fiving Alexandria’s finest.
Officers, firefighters, deputies, and dispatchers joined forces for the Halloween-style celebration, designed to build friendships and foster trust between public safety agencies and the community they serve. The evening offered free family fun
