CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Lane closures are expected on the Eugene Carter Fort Hill Memorial Bridge, starting Friday, October 31, at 8 p.m.
The lane closures will continue into early next week on Monday, November 3, until 6 a.m., according to the WV Division of Highways.
Beginning on Friday night, the left two eastbound lanes will be closed due to road work involving application of a waterproofing membrane and paving an asphalt overlay, according to the WVDOH.
Following the completion of the left lanes, the right eastbound lanes will be closed, which will steer traffic into the fast lane.
The WVDOH also says the ramp to Virginia Street and the Oakwood Road ramp will also be shut down, and a detour will be set in place.
The eastbound lane closures will be opened as soon as possible fo
