King Charles III has began the process to remove the titles of Andrew following mounting pressure on the Royal Family over his connection to late sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
Andrew will relinquish the "prince" title and will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor.
The 65-year-old will also move into an alternative home as he has been forced out of his residence, Royal Lodge, in Windsor.
He had already stopped using the title, "Duke of York".
"His Majesty has today initiated a formal process to remove the Style, Titles and Honours of Prince Andrew," Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
"Prince Andrew will now be known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. His lease on Royal Lodge has, to date, provided him with legal protection to continue in residence.
