A Bengaluru software engineer’s excitement turned to shock when he received a piece of tile instead of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 phone he ordered online for Rs 1.86 lakh.
The incident was reported on October 19 but came to light on Thursday. The victim, Premanand, 43, had ordered the premium smartphone from the Amazon shopping portal on October 14.
According to the First Information Report, Premanand had wisely recorded the unboxing. The victim filed a complaint with the National Cybercrime Reporting Portal (NCRP) before approaching the police the same day.
