BEDFORD — JC’s Christian Academy has opened its own on-site testing center, allowing students to complete Indiana Department of Education ILEARN assessments without traveling to Bloomington or other locations.

The room, which was previously the 6-12 classroom, has been converted into a sterile on-site testing facility.

The school recently completed its first practice test in preparation for the statewide summative exams. This week, students in grades 3 through 6 are taking familiarization sessions to learn the computer-based testing format and software.

Beginning Monday and continuing through Friday of next week, students in grades 3 through 8 will take baseline “checkpoint” assessments in math and English/language arts. Three checkpoint assessments will be given throughout the schoo
