Chancellor Rachel Reeves has received an apology from the estate agent which lets out her former home in South London.

It was revealed Wednesday night that the property was being let without a council licence. This afternoon the agency admitted they had offered to do the paperwork on her behalf but did not do so.

The prime minister had already exonerated Rachel Reeves of breaking the Ministerial Code after she told him she didn’t even know she needed to apply for a rental licence.
