A mainstay of dining in northeast Alabama is shutting its doors after three decades.

The owners of Anniston’s Classic on Noble announced Thursday their intention to retire and close the restaurant at the end of the year.

In an announcement, Cathy and David Mashburn stated that the restaurant “has been our life’s work, and our hearts are filled with gratitude for everyone who has walked through our doors.”

“Although we are stepping into retirement, we are not quite ready to say goodbye,” the couple said.

“Classic on Noble will remain open throughout the holidays, and we would love to celebrate this special season with you, so book your holiday parties and gatherings while you can. We would love to see your familiar faces one more time.”
