BEDFORD/NOSTRAND — AS THE NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ISSUED FLASH FLOOD WARNINGS FOR NEW YORK CITY ON THURSDAY, Oct. 30, a section of the G train route that runs between Brooklyn and Queens has been flooded, according to Notify NYC.

G train service was suspended in both directions between Bedford/Nostrand Ave. and Court Square in Queens during the afternoon rush hour on Thursday, Oct. 30. The MTA website recommended that commuters use the F and R trains in Brooklyn, or B44-SBS and B48 buses. The Flash Flood warning was extended from 5 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

Another stretch of the G line was also affected when the brakes of a train were activated near the Metropolitan Ave. station around 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
