FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - Indiana Michigan Power (I&M) awarded the Allen County Public Library (ACPL) Foundation a grant on Thursday for the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library.
The program, which provides children from birth to age five with free, high-quality, age-appropriate books mailed directly to their homes each month, helps foster early literacy, learning readiness, and a lifelong love of reading.
According to the library, the $5,000 will be used to help sustain and expand access to the program.
The library says the program has made a measurable impact since launching locally in 2024, serving more than 8,000 children with more than 60,000 books.
