A man already awaiting a lengthy sentence after having been convicted of human trafficking at a courthouse in Joliette was recently arrested inside a jail and now faces charges alleging he was pimping minors.

According to a press release by the Sûreté du Québec, Dave-Cash Paul, 37, was arrested on Wednesday at the St-Jérôme Detention Centre. He is detained in a case where sentencing arguments are scheduled to be heard in November. On June 6, a Quebec Court judge convicted Paul on two charges related to how he acted as a pimp toward a woman. La Presse reported Paul demanded the woman hand him a minimum of $2,000 a day and he made more than $100,000 off her.

At least one of the charges Paul was convicted of in June carries a mandatory minimum four-year sentence.
