Alerts Issued for Our Region • WIND ADVISORY in effect through 5 PM Halloween for western Greenbrier and Pocahontas counties. Wind gusts as high as 50 mph could cause isolated power outages. In addition, with air temperatures in the low 30s and wind gusts that high, wind chill values will drop occasionally into the teens.

Tonight features upslope showers as a stout westerly wind continues. Temperatures will drop back into the mid to upper 30s which will be just warm enough to keep precipitation falling as a cold rain for most. However, for areas above 3,500 feet, a few flakes will mix in. No accumulations are expected but it's a sign that the cold season is quickly approaching.
