Montreal police (SPVM) have issued a warning to parents about a major seizure of cannabis edibles as Halloween approaches.
SPVM, say they carried out a series of searches that led to the seizure of several cannabis edibles, including 8,505 bags of THC-infused gummies, 9.8 kilograms of cannabis chocolate, as well as 25.5 kilograms each of hashish and cannabis.
Two individuals were arrested for possession and distribution of the illegal substances.
“Thanks to the rigorous work of our investigators, these potentially dangerous products have been taken off the streets. However, we want to remind parents that vigilance remains essential, especially during the Halloween period,” said Sylvain Dumouchel, commander of the SPVM’s West Regional Investigations.
