The New Orleans location of a national donut chain is closing, but new owners plan to reopen in the Central District space.
Hurts Donut Company shared on Instagram that its last day in business is Friday.
"Our season has come to an end. We extend our deepest gratitude to our loyal customers for your incredible support over the past 5 years," the business said.

Founded in 2013 in Springfield, Missouri in 2013, Hurts has 18 location across several states. The New Orleans location opened at 501 Loyola Ave. in 2019 by a New Orleans area couple from Missouri, Kim and Eric Brower .
Despite Hurts saying goodbye, at this time, there's good news ahead.
The shop will reopen with new owners, the chain teased on Facebook .
