ST. LOUIS, Mo. (First Alert 4) -A unique high school in the metro area held a belated celebration Thursday, honoring its grand opening earlier this year.

Officials from both the Believe Academy and BJC Health Care held a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the school, whose goal is to attract more people to the healthcare field.

Students who attend the school can earn healthcare credentials and associate degrees, allowing them to have immediate job opportunities when they graduate.

It is a unique school, with just 12 like it across the county, and is the first in the St. Louis region.
