Moose Jaw RCMP Const. Steven Sharpen has been charged with breaking into a home and assaulting a man, according to an RCMP news release.
Sharpen went to a residence in the Moose Jaw area as part of an ongoing investigation and allegedly unlawfully entered the residence on Jan. 13, 2025, RCMP said.
“An altercation then occurred between the officer and an adult male inside the residence,” the news release said.
The man involved in the assault made a complaint to Moose Jaw RCMP the following day.
“He did not report any physical injuries to police,” the news release said.
The RCMP reported the incident to the Saskatchewan Serious Incident Response Team, which determined the incident was “out of the scope of [its] mandate.”
