BOGALUSA, La. —
The mayor of Bogalusa has been indicted and accused of malfeasance in office.
District Attorney Collin Sims reported Thursday that Tyrin Z. Truong, 26, was indicted on charges of malfeasance in office, public intimidation, and theft. Advertisement
Truong is accused of intentionally performing his duties as mayor in an unlawful manner, and permitting other employees to do the same, according to the indictment.
He is set for arraignment on Nov. 10.
This comes after his arrest in connection with a drug and prostitution investigation by Louisiana State Police back in January.
Six others were arrested in connection with the investigation linked to Truong.
