Syracuse, N.Y. — Former Syracuse defensive lineman KingJoseph Edwards will return to campus for a recruiting visit for the Orange’s Halloween game against North Carolina, he said Thursday.
Edwards left the Orange earlier this year and transferred to Hudson Valley Community College.
At the time, Syracuse head coach Fran Brown said little about the circumstances that led to Edwards’ exit but said he’d be open to Edwards returning to the team as early as 2026.
Edwards played in five games for the Orange last season as true freshman out of Mill Creek (Georgia). He was ranked as a top-25 defensive end in the Class of 2024 by 247 Sports. He is currently being pursued by Coastal Carolina.
Syracuse is thin at defensive end this season and could’ve used Edwards, at the very least, for depth. Sy
