DEXTER, Maine (WABI) - A Dexter father was indicted by a Penobscot County Grand Jury and charged with assaulting a child.

23-year-old Kolby Drake was arrested in August after police say he assaulted his infant son.

Authorities say they learned of the possible abuse after the infant was hospitalized with serious injuries the week prior to Drake’s arrest.

Drake was indicted on charges of assaulting a child under the age of six, aggravated assault, and domestic violence assault.
