COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - Duke Energy said Thursday that it’s donating $100,000 to the recently activated One SC Fund.
The fund’s reactivation was announced earlier in the week, as SNAP benefits are set to be frozen on Nov. 1 due to the ongoing federal government shutdown.

During a press conference on Tuesday, Gov. Henry McMaster said 99% of every dollar given to the fund will go straight to nonprofits such as food banks and pantries to help provide aid to those who need it, through grants administered by the Central Carolina Community Foundation.
