PEPPER PIKE, Ohio -- More than $31,600 was raised in this year’s Orange Elementary and Middle School PTA Candyland-themed Walkathon.
The primary goal of the event was to enrich the emotional, academic and environmental experiences of students at the Orange Inclusive Preschool, Moreland Hills Elementary School and Brady Middle School, according to a news release from the Orange City School District.
All proceeds directly benefit the schools and community.
A brief trek through the Candy Castle and Lollipop Woods led the Moreland Hills School students to the sprawling Peppermint Forest, where they competed by grade level in various field games.
Games included a bat race, over-under with hula hoops, soccer contests and sack races.
They then retreated via the Rainbow Trail to the Licorice
