LAREDO, Tex. (KGNS) - Laredo is launching a city-wide effort, “Feed the need: Laredo food drive.”
Laredoans are being asked to donate food to help local families impacted by the federal shutdown.
This Saturday, you can drop off your donations of non-perishable food items at the Laredo fire administration center on Del Mar.
All donations will help replenish the shelves at the South Texas Food Bank and the Laredo Regional Food Bank. Please donate non-expired, non-perishable food items such as:
Canned vegetables, fruits, and meats
Rice, beans, and pasta
Peanut butter
Cereal and granola bars
As well as dog and cat food items
Drop off is this Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm. Community members can also make monetary donations or volunteer.
