MONROE COUNTY, Mich. — The Michigan State Police are on the scene of a limousine bus overturned on I-75 south in Monroe County Thursday evening.

According to authorities, the single-vehicle crash happened at mile marker 16 in Monroe County, near the Nadeau Road exit, at around 5:45 p.m. A preliminary investigation indicates that a limo-type bus was involved in the traffic crash, and multiple people were injured.

Those injured were transported to local hospitals in both Toledo and Monroe, according to MSP.

Police did not release how many people were injured or the extent of their injuries.

As of 9:30 p.m., southbound I-75 has begun opening to traffic, according to troopers on scene.

The cause of the crash is currently unknown at this time.
