The Mesa Planning and Zoning Board voted to recommend the city council approve a site plan review and site plan modification to allow for the construction of a Sun Devil Auto near East Southern Avenue and South Signal Butte Road at their recent meeting.

The vote passed 4-0 with board members Jeff Pitcher, Genessee Montes and Chase Farnsworth absent on Oct. 22. The site plan modification will allow for a single-story, 7,689-square-foot automotive/vehicle and repair facility, according to board documents.

The request was made by George Pasquel III on behalf of site owner WS Holdings I, LLC.
